About Us

The Jersey Cat Club is the oldest Cat Club in the Channel Islands and was formed on 28th February 1973.  The aims of the Club are to encourage and promote a greater interest in the welfare of cats, both pedigree and non-pedigree.

Every year the Club holds a Championship Show which this year will be held on Saturday 10th May.  As usual the venue is the R.J.&H Building in Trinity.  This venue is easy to reach, has ample parking and is outstanding for its natural lighting.

During the course of the year many club members are involved in fund raising (mainly jumble sales) to finance the considerable expense of the Show.  Judges have to be brought to the Island and have to be accommodated for 2 nights in a Hotel, together with expenses.  This year they will be staying in the Beachcombers Hotel in Grouville where the Club will be holding an After Show Dinner.

Many potential exhibitors from Jersey, Guernsey and the UK will have already received entry forms.  The closing date for entries is the 7th April and the forms need to be sent to the Show Manager: Mrs. Helen Hewitt, The Braes, 160 Hermitage Road, Woking Surrey GU21 8XH. Tel: 01483 474 225—NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Non-pedigree cats are very welcome and rosettes are awarded for cats coming first, second or third in their class, together with trophies

Anyone interested in entering their cat(s) in the show can contact the Club President, Paul Tomlinson, on 863730 or log onto the website www.jerseycatclub.co.uk
